Our story, since 1997

Dr. David Montz has cared for patients in Pearland since 1997. He grew up in Friendswood, still serves on its school board, and today practices alongside Dr. Michael Maher across three offices, with a periodontist on the team.

Nitrous oxide, oral conscious sedation or IV sedation. Dr. Maher is one of the few general dentists in the area trained to give IV sedation, and can work alongside a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist.

As a Dental Warranty Certified Practice, fillings, crowns, veneers, implants, dentures and more are covered for six years: repair or replacement at no cost up to the original value, redeemable nationwide.

Designed on screen, milled by the in-house unit and bonded in one appointment. No temporary crown, and no second visit a few weeks later.

Invisalign, Premier Preferred

More than 1,000 cases over 20 years. New patients get $500 off, free retainers and free take-home whitening, a $1,600 bundle.

Veneers, traditional or no-prep

Traditional veneers for full makeovers, no-prep veneers to keep more of your own tooth. Typically $1,700 to $2,500 per tooth.

A periodontist on site

Dr. Varesic treats gum disease, gum recession and implant sites under the same roof, so a gum problem does not mean a referral across town.

Implants & full-arch teeth

Planned in 3D. Placed and finished here.

Dr. Maher places implants in-house with X-Guide dynamic navigation, and the on-site lab makes the teeth. Most full-arch patients leave the same day with temporary teeth already in place.

  2. Consultation and 3D scan. At whichever of the three offices suits you.
  3. Plan and price. Your case is planned from the scans, with an estimate and financing reviewed up front.
  4. Guided surgery. Around two to three hours per arch, with sedation if you want it.
  5. Final teeth. After three to six months of healing, your permanent teeth go in.

What people ask before they book.

Do you take my insurance?

We accept most major dental PPO plans, file every claim for you and work to get you the most from your benefits. Cosmetic treatment is not usually covered, so we also offer CareCredit and Cherry financing, and take cash, check, Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover.

I have put off the dentist for years. Can you help?

Yes, and nobody here will make you feel judged for it. We offer nitrous oxide, oral conscious sedation and IV sedation. Dr. Maher is certified to give IV sedation himself and can work alongside a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist. With oral or IV sedation you will need someone to drive you home.

Something broke or it hurts. Can I be seen today?

Call the office nearest you. Emergency time is reserved every day at each location, and we do everything we can to see you the same day. Patients we have seen before can reach the dentist on call after hours through the answering machine on the same number.

What happens at a first visit?

Our front desk team helps you register, then you meet Dr. Montz, Dr. Maher, Dr. Dunwody or Dr. Long to talk through any concerns and goals, followed by a comprehensive exam that checks for gum disease and oral cancer. If all is well you can have a cleaning with a hygienist, or book it for a return visit. Printing the new patient packet beforehand speeds up check-in.

How long do implants and veneers last, and what if something fails?

With good care, implants can last 20 years or more and many patients keep them for life. Porcelain veneers typically last 10 to 15 years or longer. On top of that, qualifying work carries our six-year transferable warranty, as long as you keep up your hygiene visits.

Which office should I book at?

Whichever is closest. Pearland on Galveston Avenue, Friendswood on Friendswood Drive and Silverlake on Broadway all keep the same hours. If you would rather start from home, Dr. Montz and Dr. Maher offer free virtual consultations.
